- Sweet and crisp fruit with slight almond flavour
- Dark red over green is cross between a Trail and McIntosh
- Excellent dessert apple
- Apple blossom flowers bloom in mid May – early June
- Leaves turn a pleasant yellow colour in fall
- Fruit ripens in early September; stores for 2-3 months in refrigerator. Fruit will remain on tree in perfect condition until -6/-7°C (mid-late October)
- Starts bearing fruit approximately 3 years after planting
- Needs cross pollination to produce fruit. Could be either DIFFERENT apple variety or flowering crabapple.
- Plant pollinators within 200’ for best results
- Slow Growth Rate: 8-12”/year
