Sheldon Falk
There had been very few nurseries in the area and many thought it wouldn’t take off. But through hard work and lots of prayer, Sheldon and his wife Cynthia got the nursery on its feet and running. Cynthia is the Bookkeeper and Administrator of the business, as well as Sheldon’s greatest encourager and confidant.
Sheldon has always been very passionate about his plants, his greatest desire is to continue to bring plants into Manitoba and discover new plants that can grow in our climate, trees and shrubs especially. Sheldon has a nerve-wracking talent for surviving freak accidents such as moose accidents and falling off the greenhouse just to name a few!
Favourite Plant/Tree
Sheldon’s two favourite trees by far are the Sugar Maple, with its gorgeous structure and vibrant red fall colour. The other would be the Lace Weeping Willow, which he was primarily responsible for introducing to this area.

Ryan has been our Nursery Sales Manager for 6 years but has been on the sales team for over 14 years. Ryan is a natural caretaker in every aspect of life. He has been known to take plants out of our dead pile and try to revive them in his spare time.
He is Sheldon’s only son making him Sheldon’s favourite son by default! Ryan is incredibly knowledgeable and has done his fair share of studying when it comes to plant identification and care.

Ryan’s favourite plant is the Fire and Ice Hydrangea because of its outstanding colour and long blooming season.

Richard (Rick) is our Properties Manager. He is a jack of all trades who brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the business. Richard has worked for the Nursery 18 years and is our longest serving staff member.
Rick is friendly, has a good sense of humour, and enjoys a good cup of Tim Horton’s coffee first thing in the morning.

Ang has been our Greenhouse Production Manager for over 10 years. A difficult position to fill, but Ang somehow makes it look easy. Ang and her team are what keep our greenhouse stocked and looking gorgeous. Her intuition in plant care and her organizational skills has improved our stock and the setup of our greenhouse by leaps and bounds.
Ang is friendly, has a great sense of humour and is able to keep a calm straight head on her even in the most stressful of seasons.

Brittany is our Administrations Manager. She has worked for the nursery for 10 years and spent her first few years as our Greenhouse Sales Manager. A personal paparazzi to the plants, Brittany will stop at nothing to get a good picture of the flowers around her. Brittany's incredible skills with numbers and customer service have always been an amazing asset to our team. Her favorite flower is hard to pin down, but she loves anything with beautiful blossoms, and when the flowering crabapples are blooming they rocket to the top of her favorites list.
