Willow, "Lace Weeping"
Salix babylonica 'Lace'
Our personal favorite willow, and the best weeping willow for Manitoba! Lace has a very similar formation and growth habit to the graceful weeping willows of BC and Ontario but it has the cold hardiness for our frigid prairies.; it is a fast-growing (up to 6' a year in ideal conditions) seedless variety of willow. Golden/ bright yellow fall colour.
Mature Width:
30 - 40'
Mature Height:
30 - 40'
Plant Care:
•Grows best in low areas or near bodies of water.

Willow, "Silky White"
Salix alba 'Sericea'
A slightly weeping, multi-stemmed willow tree. The leaves appear silvery white due to the fine hairs that grow on the surface of each leaf which make them shimmer in the breeze - an excellent contrast tree. Growth rate is 2' - 3' per year.
Mature Width:
30 - 40'
Mature Height:
30 - 40'
Plant Care:
•Prefers a moist location with low alkalinity
•Most willows tend to drop some branches if there is a windstorm and will lose some with age; they will be more brittle if the ground is too wet
