This hardy pear variety is ornamental, and columnar in shape with gold-orange to red fall colour. The tree will be nearly fruitless unless grown with another type of pear, and if it does produce, the fruit is only suitable for wildlife.

Willow, "Lace Weeping"
Salix babylonica 'Lace'
Our personal favorite willow, and the best weeping willow for Manitoba! Lace has a very similar formation and growth habit to the graceful weeping willows of BC and Ontario but it has the cold hardiness for our frigid prairies.; it is a fast-growing (up to 6' a year in ideal conditions) seedless variety of willow. Golden/ bright yellow fall colour.

Salix alba 'Sericea'
A slightly weeping, multi-stemmed willow tree. The leaves appear silvery white due to the fine hairs that grow on the surface of each leaf which make them shimmer in the breeze - an excellent contrast tree. Growth rate is 2' - 3' per year.
