Picea pungens 'Blue Diamond'
This new variety's highlight is its size - it is a great spruce for a town lot. Blue Diamond has intense silver-blue fresh growth, and 1" long needles.

Spruce, "Colorado Crystal Blue"
Picea pungens 'Crystal Blue'
A hardy, symmetrical, broad pyramidal spruce. Needles hold an excellent steel blue colour. It is Manitoba's best selection for sunburn resistance and blue colour. Growth rate is 10-15” per a year.

Picea pungens 'Fat Albert'
Named for its density more than its width, this tree grows slowly (4"-8" per year) and is a great small spruce for under power lines or small areas.

Picea pungens 'Glauca Globosa'
Steel blue needles like Colorado Blue Spruce grow in a ball shaped head grafted onto an upright trunk. This creates a unique dwarf feature plant, shaped like a lollipop. It is a slow-growing plant with a rate of 3"-6” per year.

Spruce, "Meyers"
Picea meyeri
A full-bodied spruce like the Colorado but much hardier and disease resistant. Green needles cover the branches year-round. Cold-tolerant to -45! It grows 12”-14” per year.

•Spruces need a thorough soak with water before heading into winter to help avoid browning, particularly when they are young
•Spruces do not show moisture stress throughout the year (unlike deciduous leaves, which start wilting when they are stressed), so make sure to water thoroughly after a week of hot, dry weather

This is a dense, compact, slower-growing form of the Colorado blue spruce, about 5"-8" per year. The needles are slightly larger and appear feathery; it is very blue and very hardy.
