Berberis thunbergii 'Bailgreen'

The small, bright green leaves of this dwarf spiny shrub turn an impressive orange red in October. Its flowers are greenish yellow and insignificant, but the small berries are brilliant red from August through November.

•Prefers a well-drained, wind-sheltered and sunny location; branch tips will freeze back above the snow line, and should be pruned in spring

Royal Burgundy is notable for its bright velvet-red colour that does not fade in the summer heat, and the red deepens in the fall. Its compact, neat, and round form make this shrub especially appealing.

This plant can be grown as a large shrub or pruned into a small tree. The glossy green leaves are accented with bright pink seed pods from late summer into early winter. The fantastic fall colour is a flamboyant pink/burgundy.

This shrub's main features are its pink tassel flowers that bloom in late summer. In the fall these flowers give way to brilliant red seed pods and the leaves turn red as well. Hardy and disease resistant.

Cotoneaster, Hedge

Cotoneaster lucidus

Cotoneasters are one of the most popular hedge plants we sell, with attractive dark green glossy leaves, bright orange/red fall colour, and black berries that stay through the winter. These shrubs can be planted 18 - 24" apart for a tight hedge, and is a quick grower: 12" - 16" per year, and are very cold tolerant.

•Handles pruning extremely well and can be shaped; only prune in early spring or late fall to avoid fireblight

•In case of fireblight, the disease must be carefully pruned out as soon as you identify it, cutting ~4" past the diseased branches if possible
